Responsible for maintaining records of invoices, payments and transactions, preparing accounts payable, invoices and purchase orders, petty cash and payroll. Assistant Accountants also process cheques and keep filing and invoice monitoring systems up to date.You'll undertake tasks such as filing, typing, basic bookkeeping, handling mail and making phone calls. Other typical duties include: Management of petty cash transactions. Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
